Meet Maddy McCracken
Based out of Washington DC, McCracken Ceramics emerged from a blend of myth and mud, a nod to the legendary Kraken and the mysterious, transformative process of working with clay.
Like the Kraken, my work emerges from a place of unknown and imagination. I never know what I am going to make when I sit at my wheel! And you may not have known you needed a McCracken Ceramic piece until you saw one.
I’ve had a paintbrush in hand for as long as I can remember. Being able to create the canvas I decorate has brought a child-like wonder back into my adulthood. These days, I create functional tableware with graceful shapes, soft yet striking color blends, and fun, one-of-a-kind designs.
